Since when is age a factor when defending yourself from some crazy fat fucker running at ya flailing his arms like he's gonna take a swing?
Pedro tossed that fat fuck to the ground, like he deserved to be. He should be thanking Pedro for not putting the cleats to his ass. |

Its no wonder baseball sucks. |
Isn't it time for Zimmer to retire?
He played with Ty Cobb. :1orglaugh Partytime :drinkup |
so I guess you'd have stood there and let the psycho fathead start beating on ya, and then ask him politely to go back to his own dugout?

pedro only pushed zimmer out of the way, since zimmer was on a b-line to tackle pedro, what out of respect you should let a 72 year old man tackle you when you're the franchise pitcher? lets be serious here zimmer went after pedro, pedro was just standing there, zimmer got what he deserves, fuck him and his "oh i'm old" bullshit, if he's so old he shouldn't have been going after pedro |

Pitcher just threw him down, didn't hit the old geezer, nice move I'd say. |
All if it started the inning before..
Pedro Martinez (Boston pitcher) hit Karim Garcia in the back with a pitch. Martinez motioned to his head as tho the pitch was meant to hit Garcia there. Zimmer does not take to things like that lightly. For those who don't know his history, he was hit in the head by a pitch in 1953. He was in a coma for a couple of weeks and had a metal plate in his head because of it. Zimmer yelled from the dugout at Martinez. In the next inning, Manny Ramirez was just looking for an off pitch by Roger Clemens so that he could jump him for it. When a likely candidate pitch came his way he used it to rush the mound. The benches cleared and Zimmer went straight toward Martinez to give him a piece of his mind. ... Now if the brawl you are really referring too is the one in the Yankees bullpen, Jeff Nelson deserves every bit of shyt he gets thrown his way because of it. |
Baseball's boring. Everybody's knows that. They're just trying to put on a show like they do in Hockey to up the ratings.

Thanks PK, that is what i was mainly wondering, hot it got started. Missed the game and ESPN that night
thanks for the low down :thumbsup |
Zimmer was one of my favorite managers here in Boston so I did feel bad for him when it happened
I do think Pedro helped him to the ground a little more aggresively than he had to but on the other hand 72 year old men should know better than to come out swinging Theres a good fan video up on boston.com in the sports section that shows Zim running around the pile and making a beeline straight for Pedro. |
last night on CNN they showed a new angle of Zim charging Pedro. He literally ran around the massive group that had formed in the field and searched Pedro out (like a heat seaking missle). And he TRIED to punch him - he's just old and he missed. I guess Pedro could have just stepped out of the way...

you guys call that a fight? pedro did what I would not have done.... we were always taugt in baseball as pitchers.... someone charging you..... stick your cleats up... let ther stupid ass run right into that..... the old man no matter what his age... charged pedro... pedro side steped him and eased him to the ground..... all this shit about he threw him.... is wrong.... anyone who has seen someone get thrown to the ground... know's.... none the less... I would have cleated the old man in the face... with my nicly sharpend cleats.....
|
the comments about cleating an old man in the face, truly show that you Red Sox fans have NO CLASS.
Pedro threw at Garcia cause he was pissed he was losing, and like a baby, thats how he reacts EVERYONE knows Pedro is a headhunter. If the game took place in New York, Martinez would of been arrested for assault and attempt to incite a riot. |
|
im too lazy to read any of this, but all i know is someone got
"Knocked THE FUCK OUT" -- Friday and i dont care who it is, someone getting knocked the fuck out, is F U N N Y shit.... |

DA: We would like to charge Mr. Martinez with assult and inciting a riot. Judge: What did he do? DA: He hit a batter. And threw an old man. Judge: Mr. Martinez has hit 192 other batters in his career, why weren't any of these inciting a riot? DA: Because they weren't Yankees... Well actually some of them were. But this time it was really mean, he almost hit Mr. Garcia in the head. Judge: Sort of like when Roger hit Piazza in the head? DA: Um, yeah. But then he threw Zim to the ground. Judge: What was Zim doing at the time? DA: Um, charging him in an attempt to attack him. Judge: Doesn't Mr. Martinez have a right to defend himself from an attack? DA: Well, yes. But Zim is OLD! Judge: Then he should know better. Case Dismissed. I hate that I keep letting myself be drawn into a web board arguement about this.... |
