Are you better off having downloadable movie content in your site or plugin content?
 

I could go either way and I dont know whats better, having lots of really good plugin content or having lots of downloadable movies.

should I do a little of both?

There are still a lot of users using AOL, WEB-TV or othes who have serious problems while watching streamed videos. Also the few who are using win95 and 98 could not watch videos which are encoded with the new 9 version of wmv.
Therefor I guess, it will be always a good idea to have a bunch of videos for download available

We prefur offering both, modems can't ever stream video, theres no point offering 40kps video its just a joke, we prefur offering 125kps video which can download or stream, of course we offer 440kps and 1000kps wmv's as well as 500kps mpegs too. Most people can use WMV and if you have mpeg as a backup you cant go wrong

I'm sure they don't mind so long as the licensing agreements are signed :)

We have a ton of both versions in our main site and the downloads are about 100 times more popular. :2 cents:

Seems to me having both options is the way to go. Streaming video is a great idea, however there are still way too many drawbacks.

America still have huge pockets of people who still can't get broadband and/or satisfied with dial up accounts.

Hmmmm....personally I prefer download so I can keep it for later :1orglaugh

But our plug-ins offer both :thumbsup
