If you change something in your meta tags, do the SE's drop your ranking while trying to find a new one?

On one site, I went from PR4 to PR0 (on the searches). When I'm at the site, it says it's a PR of 4, but when I click on the link on SE results, it says 0.

Anyone know why?

EDIT: Plus, I noticed my SE traffic has dropped considerably.

Make sure you include the 'www.' and don't just type in the domain name... for some reason Google differentiates and the PR rankings will be different.
