i seriously don't see it that way...my only rational reason as to why i wouldn't is simply cause i'm less than three months into it, but she's definitely the one. gonna wait awhile, but would like to see how others realized their soulmate was the "one"

xenigo 10-13-2003 01:42 AM

Steve,
If she's 100% perfect, and you're 100% sure, then what the fuck are you concerned about? I'd jump on that shit in a heartbeat if I were you. I look at it this way, if she makes you feel great at least 90% of the time, I'd consider it a winning proposition. I broke up with my girlfriend because she made me feel like shit and brough me down like 50% of the time... I couldn't imagine spending the rest of my life with her.

I guess the question to ask yourself is exactly that. Can you imagine spending the rest of your life with her?

Less than three months?
Egads, man.
Give it a year before you even *consider* popping the question so that you've had time to really get to know her, at least.
I guarantee in a year your 100% rating will drop by about 20 points.

i'm not stupid, hence, the reason i said i'd wait awhile...

if things are still as great as they are now... fuck yeah, i'll pop the question. everyone who meets her says she's a keeper.

nope, i intend to follow my folks who are still happily married after almost 40 years. marry... and marry for life. i don't plan on becoming a statistic.

Furious_Female 10-13-2003 02:03 AM

I think marriage is underrated these days. I think it's exciting to look forward to sharing the rest of your life with someone. Just be sure they are what you want and you are what they want. Not just now... but in the future. Have a candid talk with her, about what she wants in years to come. Have an honest discussion about money, children, houses, cars, discipline, fidelity, health etc BEFORE you get married. Cover any and every question you can possibly think of, so you both know where you stand and know if you accept each other 100%. Successful marriages don't have any room for major surprises. You know what they say about assuming...

Don't be afraid to communicate because you are a guy :winkwink: It will benefit you in the long run. A lot of men want to put off those "agonizing" discussions about "foo foo" stuff and plans for the future, they think it will just all fall in place. Big mistake... if you can't talk about it now, chances are, you never will. Trust me... I know this from experience. Anyone that avoids topics or gets irritated to talk about things, isn't someone you want to plan your future around.

Good luck to you! :)

I'll marry the first one with half a brain that I dont look at and think to myself, "christ, another dirty ego driven attention whore".

Yeah but I also can't count high enough to account for all the stupid people I know. There are no bad marriages... just stupid people making bad decisions.

You can't know something that you were never taught, can you? How many kids go researching the theory of God and evolution? That's a lame analogy.

What backwoods school district is not teaching even the basics of evolution at the elementary level? Mine was. And that was in the late 70s.

I bet you were taught, but you just did not pay damn attention. You were a single teenage mom weren't you?

Nope... I didn't know that. Because I was always taught it was round. Had I been taught that it was flat, I probably wouldn't have thought otherwise until I was old enough to do so :winkwink:

OMG :1orglaugh

No they didn't teach evolution in my schools. I went to Catholic school in kindergarten, then church school during lunch in public school. Evolution was never mentioned in grammar school, neither was "God".

See how ignorant you are? You know nothing about me, yet think you have me figured out. I have no children. Never been pregnant and wouldn't have a child out of wedlock.

Next assumption I can shoot down....

So wait. You are a Catholic "republican" porn gallery maker?

Your issues run deeeeep.

No children? Gee I wonder why a man wouldn't want to marry you or want you to have his children. I wish you were my mom.

The Bible agrees as well:

Isaiah 40:22

It is he that sitteth upon the circle of the earth, and the inhabitants thereof are as grasshoppers; that stretcheth out the heavens as a curtain, and spreadeth them out as a tent to dwell in:

Strike 2.

I do not make galleries. Keep the assumptions coming... You are digging yourself into a deep grave of ignorance.

Actually I haven't considered myself Catholic in over 10 years, so no. I spend about 5 or 10 minutes making a few softcore pages, that last me months at a time. They have no nudity on them and link to the sign up page of the sites I promote. No tours, nothing fancy. High converting, money making micro machines! So yeah, it's a little different, not much... but I am anything but typical :winkwink:
