My server is down and no one there will pick up the phone...this is the second time this week.
Are they working?

Guys, My server is down. I didn't say you all down

Finally a guy by the name S**N picked up the phone.
I was dialing for 20 minutes...before he picked up, amazing

order a dedicated server mate:thumbsup

I have a dedicated server, in fact 2 of them

So far I spoke with the guy 3 times...Asked him to reboot my machine. So far he rebooted other people machines by mistake...sorry guys, and I am waitng for my machine to be rebooted after my 3rd phone call. Still not coming up...I will place my 4th phone call right now.

Why do people here suport candid hosting? They are incredibly useless when it comes to support - I had FIVE days of trying to get some support out of them - FIVE FUCKING DAYS and nothing

They have gotten better. This used to be the norm versus the exception.

I am going have to rebuild this box...which will cost me thousands of Dollars of programming hours.
I am going to ask Candid Hosting to rebuild it on a new hardware and not this crap that I got right now. If they refuse I am fucking out of there. I cannot afford it. BTW it is a windows machine...so if anyone has some good hosting stories for me that can host windows, please let me know. For those morons that will start telling me how windows is bad...Go Fuck Yourself...I cannot change thousands of pages that have been written in ASP and ASP.NET I am too involved financially to change things around. So please save me those advises?I don?t need them right now, I have my own problems.

What is beyond my comprehension is you have to rebuild the box. Don't you have backups for heaven's sakes?

I sure do.
But if windows OS is corrapt, or the SQL is...I need to reinstall them...Once I reinstall, I don't want to bring in all the data that I have in for the last 5 years...so we plan to go and check all the files before we transfer them to a new OS with all the latest pack.
That takes time...and I have to pay my programmers to do so.
For your information dllHost.exe is bad file right now...so what do I do? Reinstall SQL? Do I reinstall everything to an old machine that I have with candid?
I have been dealing with that problem for 2 weeks now...EVERY day the server is going down at least once.

I thought when its time to say something good, I should step up as well.
My sales rep Travis at Candid Hosting just came thru big time for me. He solved my problems and I want to take this open forum to thank him for his excellent work.
For me a good hosting is not just up time and support it is solving problems as well. Candid hosting and Travis did it.

Candid is known for having one of the best sales teams. No one complains about their sales department, its their techsupport that needs work.

Morphius, why not have travis give you his cell phone number? then in emergencies you can always get hold of him and he can probably deal with support and motivate them to get shit done.

In this case it really suck. I guess its a problem with thier upstream/ down stream provider.
