If you're promoting sweet18girls.com (cash4partners.com) through ccbill, read this

Pick a hosted gal, click through to the site and try to join... there's no ccbill. Apparently their account has been closed. From what I can work out this happened up to 6 days ago, I haven't seen any notification from them, so until now I have been sending traffic as per usual.

ccbill will still count the clicks, but you'll never get any sales so your ratio will just get worse and worse.

Haha still worried about the ratio.

So use our hosted galleries or daily gallery links -
You will get paid on time (65% or $30 joins)
And ccbill aren't likely to switch us off as our cb ratio is 0.02% which is currently being matched by very few programmes - Why? We produce 100% our own content.
Our members get several hundred high res top quality images every day.
There isn't one upsell in any of our members area -
We, in short, give what our members crave for, and plenty of it.

:) Normally it's not the ratio I use to decide what's working and what is not, but in this case it gives me a rough idea of how many sales I've missed out on.

Ratio over the past 6 days (since the sales stopped) - 0:3064

Ratio in the previous week - 1:326

I've emailed them asking for an explanation, it will be interesting to see what they say. It really pisses me off that sponsors continue to accept traffic when they know that affiliates cannot be credited for it. :BangBang:

1:326 is not bad with TGP traffic!

try to pay by online check:

To all our clients, friends, enemies and Webmasters

What happend to others in this industry in the past happend to us today. What we think is an unfortunate example from Visa, we have been advised that our bank was instructed today to terminate our processing in order to avoid threatened fees in the hundreds of thousands of dollars.

Starting as of 1700 hours GMT time on 8th September 2003, we can not accept any more transactions for your website but the user management will be alive until the expiration of the last user subscription.

hahaha, stupid gfy fuckers...

if they don't include your ref code on galleries then ccbill doesnt count hits!!

so your ratio is normal, just less hits

This was their response to another affiliate promoting them....

<i>"ccbill terminated our account on Friday with no prior warning and we have also no information about why they have done so. You can contact them directly in case you should not believe me. Right now we are waiting for an explanation on why it has been terminated and if they are willing to reactivate it. You can hit me on ICQ at 210613837 if you want.

This is as bad news for us as for you, but at the moment there's nothing we can do about it."</i>

Still doesn't change the fact that they didn't notify ccbill affiliates that they were switching processors.

I read this a few times and I still have NFI what you are talking about. :) How can my ccbill affiliate ratio be normal when by definition there cannot be any signups via ccbill?

AssFairy 10-14-2003 12:35 PM

F****k

I was converting them at about 1:160, 6 days of traffic completely wasted and the thumbnails alone burned up over 3 gigs of bandwidth, oh well :glugglug

AssFairy 10-14-2003 12:37 PM

Double F****K

I guess we all lose out on the rebills too, this is starting to suck :1orglaugh

"... as of today ..." don't they mean as of a week ago, we've been enjoying your free traffic with our new biller?

That sux the big one, I don't mind sponsors going belly up but I'm not happy about them "making money" from my surfers and leaving me to foot the bandwidth and hosting bills just because their lazy asses couldn't be bothered to mail me.

If they don't give out fair compensation they will be branded thieves and cheats.

xdcdave 10-14-2003 12:52 PM

that is such a low fucking move :321GFY burn in hell, you give all small sponsors a bad name.

How long were you promoting them for? I've just realised my first sale was exactly a month ago, which means that I've made only a single $14.97 amount from each signup. Derate the effective rate by 25% because they were not paying for one week out of the four, and you end up with $11.23 per signup.

One thing I am a little concerned about... if they don't handle their existing ccbill customers properly then it's possible they may request a refund or charge back, which will impact on affiliates in the coming months. That $11.23 average signup value could still decrease. :Graucho

AssFairy 10-14-2003 01:02 PM

Only been promoting them for just over a month, sales were good so I put them on 3 different domains, crap knows how much traffic I sent them over the past 6 days because I started redirecting traffic from other domains to t thumbnail page, one site of the 3 burned up over 3 gigs on the thumbnails so they must have had plenty of my traffic.

That's what I am wondering. The program isn't old enough to have any major processing compliance issues so it must be something else, perhaps something to do with the content.

It's a real pity this happened, because they had a shitload of hosted galleries and I was just ramping up my traffic to them after determining that they were going to work well with my site.

BTW, did anyone else notice that some of the hosted galleries 404'd the last image? Clicking on the last "X" thumb redirected to sweet18girls.com, which meant no affiliate cookie was set... it was quickly fixed when I pointed this out but given this latest fiasco I'm not entirely sure it was accidental. :Oh crap
