What's up with CCBill

Is everything ok with CCBill?
Last two days I have 1:4000 ratio, but before it
I had 1:400-500 with the same sponsor and same traffic.

May be they have any problems with card processing? Anybody know?

galleryseek 10-12-2003 11:31 AM

i have a stunning 1:6400 ratio

Juicy D. Links 10-12-2003 11:31 AM

lots of these threads lately. it worries me, most of the sponsors i plan to use on sites im working on use CCbill. :(

Slick 10-12-2003 01:49 PM

I just wonder if perhaps they grew too big too fast.

Conversions have been very nice around here, but hell, maybe they should be better :)

I agree, that's why we only promote sponsors that have alternative processors, we sign up with them all and feed traffic to tours using specific billing companies. If one under performs like CCbill is at the moment then all traffic gets diverted to Epoch or another processors tour.

chowda 10-12-2003 01:58 PM

i doubt there is a need to worry.

they're probably fixing something or whatever

u know the consequences of anything happening to them? its detrimental.. sooo many of the programs use them.

they wont go anywhere.. unless something is done by visa. other than that, there is no worries.

Let me sum up how this thread will go.

20 people will agree with you.
4 will say it's better than ever.
CCBill will say they do nothing different ever and send in your acct. number so they can see if it's an isolated issue even though 20 people already posted similar shitty results.

Personally, I turned off all my paid ad campaigns to ccbill sites when my ratios took a nosedive for the 2nd time.

PerfectionGirls 10-12-2003 01:59 PM

This is a daily thread.. different people, but the same stuff. CCbill has had some issue with there databases over the last two week and I agree with the person above that said they grew to fast.. Taking on all the Globill business when they shut down may have been more then they should have bit off at one time. It seems ot really be improving though... They finished there data base issue yesterday and sales shot way back up. Today is not bad at all either. Our overall conversion ration is actually better then it has every been, but it still does not account for some weirdness going on with ccbill However, it does look like things are under control and somewhat back to normal.

One thing that realy pisses me off about ccbill is that they let there webmasters do there damanage control and PR work. I trust them and stabilty of there company, but there PR sucks to put it mildly. Corvett is there only real board presence and considign there number of webmasters that use CCBill and the ammount of sales they do a year I think that is pathitic.

Ron Cadwell... please come red what people are saying about CCbill and at least address it please. Thanks man!

slapass 10-12-2003 03:38 PM

How can they adress it? They scrub harder then anyone else and that sucks for the webmaster.
And their fees get passed on to us which also sucks.

I have said it before, and I will continue to say it over and over and over again... Use sponsors using MPA2 to make sure that your signup ratio is where it should be at all times. Don't get me wrong, CCBill is a great company and I fully support them, however, some days a processor might be scrubbing a wee bit hard, and that day it is important to make sure that your traffic is converting the way it should be...

MPA2 will use THREE processors in a TRUE cascading solution - get on the bus... use a sponsor using CASCADING PROCESSING from MANSION PRODUCTIONS MPA2

:2 cents:

ccbill always has sucked ass for me

Cindyff 10-12-2003 10:30 PM

You know the sad thing about the ups and downs that processing companies have is that few people ever blame them, its normally the sponsor that will get blamed for bad sign-ups. Perhaps before shouting at sponsors we all should look towards processors who continue to have internal problems, can anyone say IBILL ?

LMAO :1orglaugh :1orglaugh

You nailed it. I have seen this same pattern with CCBill and iBill for the past 3 years. It seems to be feast or famine... either half of everyone is having a problem or half of everyone is having the best sales ever. It's rarely across the board :Oh crap

scooby doo as scooby does 10-12-2003 10:36 PM

CCBill has been all over the place recently. The've only admitted to one short maintenance period, but there are multiple threads about things going screwy. Not to mention that period when everybody hit server 500 errors.

I use to test programs for a living, and this reeks of shitty programmers and shitty quality control (testing). You'd think with the millions they make off us they could at least employ competent programmers. (someone who could design an intuitive interface would be good too).

I can't wait till my turnover is enough to get a merchant account. It's getting closer :)

andi_germany 10-13-2003 12:25 AM

SIgnup s to my paysites are down by at least 50%

Darkystar 10-13-2003 01:28 AM

ccbill signups are off for my paysites as well...:(

That's pretty neat. Even in a thread specifically about ccbill you somehow manage to try and rag on ibill.

lorsha 10-13-2003 05:16 AM

Not supporting or knocking anyone, but Ccbill has been awesome for me. Most signups from 10/1 - 10/12 that I have ever had with them.

skitten 10-13-2003 05:27 AM

My sign-ups have been really low in the past few days (for both sites.) What's up? This makes me nervous.

swedguy 10-13-2003 05:43 AM

Glad to see I'm not the only one.
