GFYer's net worth, what are you guesses?

Brad Shaw how much? I'm guessing around 1-2 M net worth. Mortaged house, leased ferrari, leveraged, etc.

Fantasy Man how much? Got to be fucking huge amounts of net worth. The guy owns everything outright. Many, many millions.

Sleazy how much? The guy has got to have some serious coin. And at least his house is paid for.

Looking at the 'what cars have you owned' thread, Marc De has to have a huge amount of money. Many millions as well.

Add to the list

Who cares?

RedShoe 10-12-2003 02:50 AM

a nice car doesn't mean you're rich. http://collegefuckfest.com/success

And correct me if I'm wrong but Sleazy just has one little TGP right?

goBigtime 10-12-2003 02:50 AM

I'd bet big money that most taco bell night shift managers make more - and they probably don't live with their parents :)

Why are so many people obsessed with what others make? Isn't it important how much you actually make?

I couldn't care less who makes millions or who looses millions. As long as I earn enough money then I'm happy :)

VirtuMike 10-12-2003 09:56 AM

I have to tell you your ideas of money are warped. You'll also be surprised with who has and who doesn't have.

First, there is little advantage of owning property outright. If you're good at finance, you can make a LOT more off property if you're mortgaged. Don't believe me? Did you forget about tax writeoffs and the additional leverage you get by using what you do have to spread it out?

Second, nice cars don't mean anything. In many cases, it's another financial calculation to come up with which car to get and how to pay for it. If you run a company, it may be better for you to lease a ferrari than buying a toyota. And it may be better for you to lease that ferrari than to buy it, depending on your use of it.

Then add to the fact that people own things that they don't want anyone to know about, and people don't own things you think they do. Life gets so confusing when you run businesses, and the more money you have, the harder it is to keep track of.

Dito... dogs keep things into perspective. Mine got me into porn for needing a house with a yard to play in, money to feed them, and time to hike with them. Later I thanked them for it.

Donny 10-12-2003 10:23 AM

All that matters to me is how much **I** make, not how much everyone else makes. I make enough to pay the bills, live a decent life, and keep my ex-wife home with my 3 year old son.

My dog got me into porn too! He wanted this red hat and a coat.. I could only afford the hat and had to put the coat on layaway so he got kinda pissed!

BTW... how much a month on a paysite would someone have to make to be doing well in your opinions?

Knowing what the standard is for the industry helps you guage your business success.

If I own a McDonalds and make $2000 profit a week and know that most McDonalds in the area make $10,000 a week , then I know I need to change something.

It's a valid question

Amazing someone sees the light. Funny for people to comment on others financies (leases/mortages), when they themselves do not have a CPA, tax lawyer, and financial consultant.

HarlotCash Dyker 10-12-2003 05:36 PM

If you need to discuss your finances on a public board, you are either lying or bragging or both.

Quite simply, don't.

i like knowing how much people make.

gives me more motivation to get up in the morning. i'm hypercompetitive though, most people arent.

if nobody made more than me i'd be bored off my butt cause business is a game, the money is just how we keep count, and when you're not #1 you have something to shoot for :)

TheSaint 10-12-2003 07:52 PM

As a general observation if you think someone has a lot of bucks, they probably don't. Most of the millionaires I know live low-key lives - ask any family member or their friends if they have millions, and they'll say "no".

Conversely, most people I know driving cars that cost over 40K are about 1 foot away from bankruptcy.

Just seems to work that way, for some reason.

brand0n 10-12-2003 07:57 PM

can i borrow 20 bucks?

As a general statement, you are correct. Of course there are exceptions. No doubt in this business, some of the people who have made $50million plus, you/me have never even heard of.

Everyone should read the book "The Millionaire Next Door".

SuperVillain 10-12-2003 08:33 PM

Why do you care? If you judge success and happiness on money will never be truly successful or happy.

I would love to see how well some people in this biz have done. It inspires me as well. No doubt, there are MANY who have done MUCH better than I. Personally, I like Marc De. Smart as hell, and made plenty of $ both on and off the internet. I just hope one day I can drive his Maybach.
