Please critique my new tour. I need your advice...how does it look? :question We just launched it. I am all ears :helpme

IMHO there isn's much on the first page why a surfer would click on the "take free tour" link. I would add more pics, etc... and put those website screenshots on the last tour page.

I would, more pics on your main page would get you more qualified visitors i think (qualified as in visitors who click the tour link). But that's just my opinion...... i'm sure other people have other opinions :)

First, it looks good because I have a feeling I know how you did this. It's a good start, but I think it needs a little more spice. You've got the goods, now use 'em. Make me want more, the 2nd and third pages look sgood as well, but I'd shift a few things around.


There is a little bit of dead space in the upper right hand area of the main page. I'd clean up the images a little more. The playboy image is kinda jaggy. Also... how does it look on an 800x600 monitor? Is the 'sale' made above the fold?


Did I mention I was also a designer? I don't generally do design work for anyone except for a few select people. I don't advertise it, I don't hardly mention it but I will help you.

The tour looks fine.
Ok, I would put a small webmaster link on the bottom of the site.
And the "Get Instant Access | Members Entrance | Take the tour>>" text should be more in the middle of the page. I've scrolled the site down and didn't saw the buttons at the top anymore. (And I use a 18" flat screen monitor!)

I would ditch the playboy logo, you are allowed to use the term "Playboy Playmate" if you were in fact one, but I dont think you have the legal right to use their servicemarked logo...

So I would look into the legalities of that...

i am just asking , does playboy know you have that there , hate to see a nice site get into some shit over that , you never know with those big boys , reather you worked there or not at one time i think i damn sure have it in writting that you can have that there ! just my :2 cents:

Your site is great and you are stunning.

However..... I checked out your link and was hard pressed for a link to your tour. I think you need to make that stand out a bit more.

who did the Photoshop work on the big image of you on the main page and join pages? You're a stunning woman, this pic looks like it was cut out of a magazine by a 10 year old with a pair of scissors.

are you on a webcam? should be, not a big deal, once a week - there is a webcam ring for Playmates and other softcore glamour babes - your members will get free access to all the other girls' shows. should help alot with retention.

not trying to hurt anybody's feelings who did that design but it's not great, i can see what they were going for and parts of it are nice but it needs some work.

Prostock - You're right. I remember reading about a former playmate getting sued for using the Playboy logo on her site. They didn't like the idea of her personal site competing with their own.

Aside from that, Neriah is stunning! I'm sure any tour with a pic of her on it would do fantastic.

loads fine for me...the pages are a bit lacking though, could definitely flash it up a bit, the cropping of your images could be a bit smoother as well...my :2 cents:

Fix the bunny head, Do some rollovers, Cut the body out right so it doesnt have lumps etc. Also add more content to the upper part of the page.

WTF, I pressed the link and all I get is the Light Speed Cash site.

You're a gorgous woman. I would really suggest that you find yourself a professional designer that can clean up the site and the webmaster area. Looks a little too amateurish for a professional playmate like you are. :thumbsup

On page two, every thumb is linked to your join page. I have not yet decided to join but am still looking to see what all I will get inside (as a surfer). Link the thumbs to a larger pic and tell me what I'm going to find of that girl after joining.

Looks great!

I would make a couple of minor changes.
1> The email collector should be much larger, and above all the other links at the bottom.

2> There is some dead space on the front page and the join page. Some good text would work there. List features of your site and show more pics of yourself in different outfits and hightlighting different parts of you: eyes, legs, behind...

3> Most single model sites don't have enough video content. They make up for it with weekly webcams, but a video sample and some text would help address surfer concerns that you only have a dozen series pics and a bunch of 'friends' pics.

4> Personally address the surfer. He joins because he is your fan. You appear to take an active part in your site. surfers value that. Let it show.

5> pop a console on exit. (I have a popup blocker, so I can't tell if you are doing this already.)

sorry to be the bringer of bad news, but the composition of that site is horrible. There are so many things wrong with it, I don't even know where to begin.... but let's try

1. It doesn't entice me to do anything except close the window. Without that, nothing else listed below matters, because no one will get that far.

2. Would definately check into the legality of using Playboy's gear. And if you do have the okay, I'm sure it probably doesn't include the mangled display of their emblem.

3. the code is sloppy and your exits don't work.

4. the site warning down at the bottom (that is copied directly from adult.com sites btw... ) is missing the 18 U.S.C. 2257 statement

5. the graphic work... the cutouts, the comp, the text work, the navigation, all of it... is just completely lacking any semblance of what would be considered "good" work.

6. the images in the thumbs on the tour pages are positively atrocious.


My recommendation is, start completely over.

Thanks for your honesty Amp. Hopefully your post will get us going in the right direction. If you know of anyone who can design a gorgeous, converting tour, I am open to recommendations!:)

1) Your tour looks great

2) The versign link didnt pop up on your join page for me for some reason???

3) You have AMEX on your billing system, and that worries me a little - AMEX doesnt accept porn last time I looked

4) YOu shoud offer a customer support link on your front page and join page

5) I live overseas, so on your webmaster page, make the video load after everything else has loaded - it made your page load very slowly

6) and when the codec did installl, it wouldnt play properly. You must consider overseas webmasters - so let them download the movie instead of streaming it (IMO)

bad cutout on the first page... didn't go any further. as a graphic designer, yeah... i'd ask for them to spend more time on it or get my money back

i don't really recommend designers anymore... there are alot of really good ones, and I've chosen not to favor any of them in particular over another. Someone always ends up getting pissed off at me. :winkwink:

and I just wanna say, I'm not knocking the model on that site, she truly is beautiful. But in a nutshell, I think if the strategy is a "Playmate" model's site, the tactics need to be representative of the style that Playboy projects... the rough cuts and everything I mentioned above may work for other styles, but it's not favorable to this style. All the compliments from everyone in threads like this are nice, but in the end the only thing that ever truly matters is conversion.

It's not a bad start but it looks more like a rough layout BEFORE a final design. Here is what I would do first:


-If you are going to use cut out photos, make sure the outline is smooth and flawless. If your graphic artist is too lazy to spend the extra time manually cuting the outline, take some photos against a blue screen and have him do an auto crop in the computer. Avoid pics that cut off your hair on the side (page 2) I also think a subtle touch of lens flare on the photos/graphics would greatly improve the look. Don't let the photos "float" around the site. Anchor them to a graphic base.

-You have three pages of tour with about 4-5 links that appear to take you to a sample section but it goes to a sign up page instead. That's a dirty trick and big turn off. Place a nice, visible join button on each page and link the rest of the graphics to either the next tour page or sample pages.

You are very beautiful and the design of the site must reflect that.
