when somebody want to start a TGP,
everyone says it's 2003 not 1998 or 99.. so you cannot win
with a TGP.. you can make "a little" money true but it's
very very very hard to make money off with that..
when somebody want to setup a toplist it's a waste of time,
banner exchange no-no. search engines, maybe.
sponsor sales, "very high ratios - shaving etc"
the list goes on..

how people make money; no answer or many useless crap
(some laughs could be.. better than nothing posts)..

I'm a little bit upset..

Let's say you have a profitable business selling bikes. You have a certain "secret" way to advertise that results in you selling 5x as many bikes as your competitors. One day your competitor comes over and asks how you manage to make money. What do you do? Tell him your secret? Or just give him the runaround.

The people making the money are probably those with their own paysite(s). A clean paysite doing 50% revshare will only get about 35% of the purchase price as their revenue, and maybe ultimately 15-20% as profit... but at the end of the day, the affiliate payout is balanced by the much higher volume of sales they send.

Programs which do the dodgy stuff like consoles, cross billing, dialer redirects and shaving will make even more.

Man, by all means start a TGP. Just be a little unique about it and it will set you apart from the rest.

Considering this is the World Wide Web and not the English Web maybe you should try to be a little more tolerant of those in other countries for whom english is not their first language.

It all comes down to who you can and cannot trust . Many are liars and say certain methods don't work because they either had no luck with it, don't know shit about it, or would rather limit the amount of people doing it... Just how society is, welcome to the game of life.

If you haven't figured it out by now... the truth is, the people that make money will not give up their secrets of success. You might be able to buy their tricks, but ultimately the best is discovered on your own. If instructions on "how do succeed in the adult business" were posted for everyone to see, then everyone would do it and put each other out of business. The more people that get into this game, the less money everyone makes. I'm not saying monopolization is right, but eventually there would be no surfers to join our sites, they'd already own their own porn site.

If you know people in the business that will help you, consider yourself lucky. If you want help from others, expect to have something just as valuable in exchange.

On the other hand, I was fortunate to get help from a lot of nice friends and even that was difficult. However, I feel that I have helped my share of people get started. hey hetomito, been awhile since we talked... but don't listen to people that tell you that there is no money... if there wasn't they wouldn't be here... now it is true there are tons of webmasters out there that don't and probally never will make any money.. but would you want to listen to them anyway? Blaze your own path.

I'm still a noob, but I'm a noob with a plan... see that's what you need, a good plan... IMO it's not really what you do it's how you do it... you've been around longer than me, I'm sure you know what sells.. now you just need to put that information together, with some good traffic.

and KK it's a little unrealistic to expect people from all over the world to know and type with perfect english...hell I was born in the US and mine sucks... but then agin so do our schools.
