Do you celebrate Thanksgiving ?
in america thanksgiving celebrates the native people feeding the starving lame ass pilgrims before they figured out how to grow food over here. the pilgrims soon figured it out though, and then shot the native people.

Im a native people. Yes still do, cmon its a food based holiday.

yep, why wouldn't I?
The indians thought we were dumb...we got them to feed us, and then herded em away with our firestick. Now look at em' Buncha moochers like the pilgrims were. |

They get free college while I pay for mine. Free land under the expressway too. Buncha whiners most of em (not ALL, I know a couple good ones). Its our land now so it doesn't matter. :Graucho |
I only celebrate it in the sense of a temporary diet change and habitual eating of leftovers for extended periods of time.

Jellied all the way! I only buy Ocean Spray. Every homemade kind I ever tried and every other brand just sucked. And we usually have sage/cornbread stuffing, giblet gravy, green beans, potato salad, candied yams, pumpkin pie... *drool*... sometimes German chocolate cake, creamed corn (homemade, not that overly sweet canned crap), lima beans (the Pilgrims had those) and pecan pie. Sometimes we have ham, too, although that's usually at Christmas when we have ham AND turkey. Can you tell I'm from the South? :) Maybe we'll have a moment of silence for the natives this year, though. Very sad, indeed. And we always remember those who cannot afford a real Thanksgiving dinner by donating food and money to soup kitchens and food banks. |
I generally go along with the holidays for the rest of the family (as in going to THanksgiving dinner, having a Christmas tree, etc. It's nice for the kids too. But technically, according to my belief, my next few holidays are Samhain (Oct 31), and Dec 21 or thereabouts for the Winter Solstace. Then there's no more until next year when comes Imbolc, Ostara, Beltaine etc etc etc all over again :)

Most cubs fans are perpetual loosers, alcoholics, and the team depends on the draft to let you all down over and over. They get free players while other teams pay for theirs. Free imigrants from Peurto Rico too. Your a cubs fan, bunch of whiners (not all, I know a couple non loser cub fans). Its a real league now, so it doesn't matter. :Graucho |

Thanksgiving is the only holiday I actually like.
Food, nap, football, no spending hours buying gifts for everyone to try and impress them. It's the ultimate holiday. Every other holiday should strive to be like Thanksgiving. |

Last year I celebrated the night before by getting very drunk and letting my buddys talk me into partaking in a turkey testicle eating competition at a local bar.
Needless to say I couldn't eat turkey the next day. |
hell no, Holidays seem to suck as you get older.
