If not that'd be one hell of a cluster fuck...

I think the plan was they would give the .com owner a chance to register the .xxx version during some hold period.....

News.net currently registers .XXX but not as a TLD registry so it doesn't quite work in most people's browsers.

what would be interesting is that if the people tryhing to get .XXX to be a TLD are successful, would they recognize what news.net had already registered in their .XXX registry....

just after .XXX issue made the news about FSC having a meeting to discuss this a few months ago, news.net started sending out spam emails about .XXX coincidence or not?


Anyways, good for FSC.. .XXX has too many negative points then positive points... but, they have every right to create the .XXX space and try to market webmasters to convince them to buy yet another domain..... a new .XXX for EVERY .com version they have.

I hate the .xxx idea. I had expressed this to the powers to be at the FSC.

BTW I have been an FSC member since 1998.

wow, a card carrying member! I support what FSC and Bill Lyons is doing to look after free speech issues, but everyone that I talk to doesn't seem to either know about FSC or isn't a member.

Then again, when I ask if people are members to ASACP, alot say no as well (i'm their CTO).

I am hoping that alot won't be saying they didn't pledge support for Fight The Patent Foundation.... another organization that is looking out for everyone's interests.. this one specializing in patent abuse cases.
