Candid Hosting Tech. Support
 
I call to report a major problem with my websites almost 3 hours ago at 4pm going up and down for several hours. I get two admin's working on the box immediately.... I am updated once or twice on the problem but never given a solution or an answer to WHAT THE PROBLEM IS.

The problem is still going on, what do they do? Both of the admin's leave and go home without updating me or fixing the problem!!

What the fuck is this about? I can't even talk to my salesperson because he left too. I been with this company over 2 years and this is how they treat a customer? This is fucking bullshit.

Man...get the hell off Candid if that's the kinda support they give you. Any host that doesn't offer 24/7 support isn't worth a shit. They should be taking much better care of long-time customers so they don't have to resort to posting horror stories on GFY. That sucks man...hope they fix you soon :(

Candid has really been a shitty company. I'v been with them 4 months and the first month, I got support right away, day or night by the ICQ tech, I havent seen the ICQ tech on in 2 months. Everytime I email for help, it takes them 3 days to respond. My server has been downlaoding really SLOW and uploading really FAST since I got the machine. There is no need for it to download at 8k a second, they've changed NIC's, hub's, cords and everything and they still cant find the problem. And I never received any discount for my shitty service. It took me 20 minutes to download a 3 meg file when I first got my server, its gotten better though, it takes about 10 minutes now.

i agree that the support is awful and that when there is downtime there is rarely a reason given.
i had to look in to things myself for around 3 days flat out to find processes running un necessarily, and to find what was using up all the servers resources.
although on occassion i have had very fast response when the icq support was online. but havent seen it online for months now

Candid's been real good to us. There have been no problems as of late (knock wood) and it looks like all it takes is a quick post on GFY and your problem will be fixed!:winkwink:

Problem was fixed after some time. Hardware issues are hard to diagnose occasionally. The server never went down just a hiccup every or two hour and drop a meg in usage then come right back up...When his rep was unavailable... me. Xp took a shit on my home PC and had to be reinstalled. No one ever quit working just i was a ghost for about an hour...
