You old guys are fucked.
:glugglug
Your days left on the net are numbered, unless you take on some new blood. Brad doesn't think someone can enter adult today and make a hundred grand a year. Embrace the tide of change and you won't have to live out of your Ferrari, playboy. :) |

Gzzzzz....I can name five or six new programs or site operators open a year or less where the owners are making way more then 100k. One hundred thousand a year is not even interesting though. Hardly something to settle for.

I'm not in this for the money.
I provide a community service. |

You just need a few things most people in this industry don't: An Idea, doesn't have to be a good idea. A little bit of chash... never hurts. A work ethic. |
Lets not forget. I am in business to make friends, party, and do drugs. Fuck the $$$$$$$$.
BTW, if my income ever dropped under 7 figures I would leave the biz. Simply not worth my time, or the inherent risk. |
brad i am sure we can arrange an audit. we got the rev canada boys next door make sure your books are up to date ;)

Audits are only bad if you have something to hide.

Im not sure I would go that far calm, and I do feel that there are some gret ideas coming from all the nearly players in the industry.
As to "work ethic".. it may be different now then it was a few years ago.. people really have to spend the hours now. If you are willing to put in the hours and give up and above the call of duty customer service, you will reap the rewards. Lightspeed is a good example of this. They put in the hours and are re-inventing themselfs everyday. They have been around for sometime and there work ethic and willingness to adapt and change has kept them a strong company. It's all about being fresh and on top of things. They do that well and many of us have taken there lead. We have grown because Steve and crew have set a good example on how to keep things fresh and how to maintain a good work ethic. Lightspeed is not the only one, but they are a good example for people that are new. Plus.. they are always willing to help the new guy. Building relationships is key... and they do it well. So... to say that one can not make 100k a year in this industry is just a joke. It may take more work then it did a few years back, but it's hardly a real effort. |
