no, he can't. most guys smoke or atleast started out to smoke cause they think it enhances their cool status. they're striving for general acceptance, and the stereotypical "cool guy badass" male has to smoke. as i'm sure this is his case.

otherwise if he quit smokin he'd have to do somethin else.. like slick his hair back while wearing tight velvet shirts with their gorilla-hairy chest exposed.
