Superseding patent defence?
I was thinking about these various software patents that seem to be in trend online at the moment, when i pondered upon the idea of superseding these "new patent claims".
Why doesn't, or why could not/cannot someone like Tim Berners-Lee, (ie someone who is indisputably an innovator/developer on the WWW), enforce a technology that predates the later patents that are being exploited currently? Ie, why doesn't the person who invented the internet, fuck up the people who are trying to extort money via patents now? |
bump, im curious!

It's just the gui addition that is relatively new.. No matter who tries to declare what.. there will always be patent bullshit.. The big problem is that the 'gui' internet popped up and grew so fast that nobody was prepared for it.. the law, the gov't, and.. and.. and... and the patent office.. They just take the applicant's word for things and say, "Sure.. here's your patent certificate.. NEXT!" |
