Could Acacia's own leadership kill them?
I found this statement out there in the haze.
Anyone know about the validity of these statements? "As Dirty Harry would say, "Do you feel lucky?" Has Mr. Ryan been a good boss? Some may remember Signature-mail.com, a company that was going to put ACRI on the map. According to the 1998 annual report they were going to use ?viral marketing? to become an industry standard. Some of you may have wondered why ACRI was lumped in with financial services companies, well several years ago Rob Stewart ran Acacia Capital Management, a hedge fund. It also was abandoned for reasons that were never publicly disclosed. Those with shorter memories may recall that Paul promised THREE IPO?s in 2000 at the 2000 annual meeting. Some of you may recall Paul stating that the number of hits in the spring of 2000 at Soundbreak.com exceeded their projections. But also remember that within 5 months the CEO was fired and within 8 months the site was closed down. Some of you may recall Merk Werks a company that spent over two years to develop WonderWriter, Macintosh based, software for recordable CD?s. Its product was sold for $100K, but the cost to ACRI has never been disclosed. The true elephants among you might recall White Wing Labs, a nutritional supplement company. These are all failed ventures of ACRI and Paul Ryan. I can accept failures in what is essentially a venture capital fund. But I would like to see some focused area of investment and at least one clear winner that would offset the losers. But wait... now managment has seemingly wiped the slate clean by splitting the company and changing the names. As it is, probability is in MY favor that they'll blow it. So you see guys, the chips are stacked, but not in your favor. All IMHO. Please do your own dilligence. keep on pumpin'! " |

So what's your point? That's the past -- we're living in the present.

Are you saying Acacia is run by a tosser? We already knew that.

Is ACACAI Capital Management the same as ACACAI Research?

His name is H. Lee Browne. Apparently he's an entrepreneur who either funded or bought the rights to the original DMT patent. Then he sold it to Acacia. He's apparently filed patents for whatever Signature-mail.com is doing. http://www.signature-mail.com/about.html Like his holiness Hunter Thompson says, "When the going gets weird, the weird turn pro." |
