how much does it cost to add my own mail services to my server?
 

I have my own server thats running free bsd and I want to be able to run my own mail on it, pop and smtp. I can't get outside email services working so I thought if I could run it myself I might be able to send and receive easily.

Shouldnt cost anything

if you run your own dedicated/colo just install the type of smtp/pop3 you want sendmail/qmail/exim etc which ever you want postfix whatever flaots your boat. sendmail has more holes than a harlem apartment. i would suggest qmail or postfix. just my 2 cents.

Well if you dont know how to configure and set things up on the server then you'll just have to pay some server admin a small fee to setup everything for you. Not a big deal
