Should a program webmaster via a THIRD PARTY biller be able to see home addr and SSN?
 

I was surprised to see that the new interface for a particular third party biller includes full details about my affiliates...

- full name
- SSN
- password
- phone
- email
- address

As a program webmaster do I really need to see so much detail? I'm not the one sending the payments...

What do other third party billers show their program webmasters?

I think absolutely.. Remember, the program is on the hook for any liability you create while promoting them. You have to view the program as being a trusted sponsor with a presumption of innocence. If you don't think that they're honest, you probably shouldn't send traffic to them :)

Besides which, SSN is needed in case they are going to pay you directly at any point for a 1099 form.

As an affiliate, I'd like sponsors to have all my contact information. I'd also like them to use it if there's a problem. My bitch is signing up for a sponsor and finding out they have a hotmail contact address.
