Half-Life 2 DELAYED Until 3-31-2004 !!!
I had the game on order at EbGames and they just sent me this email -
"We are writing to let you know that the publisher has set a new ship date for Half-Life 2 of 3/31/2004." That REALLY sucks. I wonder what ATI is gonna do with using that game as a pack-in with their new video cards. I bet that they're pissed off. |
source code leaks are a bitch.
HL2 Engine = O\x/NED! |
yeah someone hacked into one of the developers emails and stole like 1/3 of the code. So they have to rewrite it and that is why the delay. That game is going to be sweet as hell though that is for sure!

Heh, I thought they said it was the entire thing. Its on kazaa and has been posted to alt.binaries.warez.ibm-pc.0-day I wonder if they are still satisfied with using M$ products. |
damn those hackers who do it for money or to fuck things up.
"When hackers broke into the computing system of Valve Software, they stole more than just the source code to Half-Life 2. They also stole enough game maps and other components to put together a playable build of the game. Today, five days after the first leak, they have released that build. The hunt for the thieves is ongoing, but a rough timeline of events has emerged. Somewhere on or around Sept. 11, hackers broke into the email of Valve founder Gabe Newell, possibly utilizing a security hole in Microsoft (MSFT: Research, Estimates) Outlook. Eight days later, they made a copy of the game's source tree. Keystroke recorders were also installed on the computers of several other employees. The invasion was methodical and seems deliberately aimed at the developer" http://money.cnn.com/2003/10/07/comm...ex.htm?cnn=yes |
