it is old slang for "i'm Outta here" which was shortened to "I'm Audi" and then became "I'm Audi 5000" after the car.

Ive got an Audi S4. The best car ever built and the fastest estate car in the world :) Plus its made out of aluminuim so it cant rust. You gotta love the germans!

Flavor Flav of Public Enemy coined the term "I'm Audi 5000 G" as a spinoff to the term more widely used "I'm Outtie".

I don't remember hearing very many people other than Flavor Flav using it, maybe a movie or mtv raps here and there, but it is definately a term that died quick.

They just named it 5000 for some markets like the US.

In Europe there never was a Audi 5000.
