Yesterday the first AVS System was established which will fit the needs of the new regulation law in Germany. From beginning of today German Users and Webmasters have to follow a new regulation while operating Porn Sites.
Webmasters have to use an AVS System that will allow personal control. The Control Check via Credit Card or Passport would be not longer accepted and is against the German law.
At the moment there are two systems which are following the new regulation. The one System is offered by Coolspot AG (X-check.de). The user has to apply for a hardware stick, which will be send to him at his local postal office. He will get informed when it's there by the postman. Then he has to move to the post office to verify that he is above 18 and take the hardware stick with him. The documents will be send back to the AVS System which will set up a unique key for this hardware stick. After the user has received this key, he will be able to logon to the porn site.
This regulation have to follow all German Webmasters. If they are giving away access to there sites without an accepted verification process (this process must be personal!), they are in conflict with the law and have to pay up to 600.000?.

I think, personally, that it will be a good idea for international webmasters, to have a close look to the German market right now and think about how to get into this market. The German porn industry is the 2nd largest Porn Industry Worldwide. At the moment man German Webmasters are giving away there .de domains.
