webserver blacklisted with easypic?

moved hosting to a new server with oxeo a few days back.

all was fine, was submitting to easypic and getting accepted no problem up until this morning.

Now I get

"sorry this webserver is blacklisted"

why the fuck and what the fuck?

He's been accepting my galleries for over a year - what gives?

:BangBang: :321GFY :(

Send an email to [email protected] and Andre will get back to you eventually.

Same thing happened to me over a year ago. It took about 3 emails and 3 months, but he did get back to me and gave me a new partner account.

I also got a server at Oxeo...... get alot of those "blacklisted the whole of your network" messages or something like that to tgps and mgps i never submitted before... i wonder what's up with that.

Ray@TastyDollars 10-06-2003 10:07 AM

Hmmm, very strange. Im hosted there (only there) and I have no problems submitting.

Just sunmitted to EasyPic about ten minutes ago, no problems.

I wonder is your IP's are blacklisted?

maxjohan 10-06-2003 10:11 AM

Just to make sure, you guys have your own boxes right? Or Are you on virtual?

Ok, could it be they are banning all your IP's because of some reason other than the host you are hosted at? Im saying if you had your own box elsewhere maybe they would have also banned your IP's.

Could it be? Like I said I have a box there to, im not banned.

Not likelly, it's a new box, i never used those ip's (obviously) and started submitting and it started at the first time i submitted a gallery on that box. When i put it on another box and submit it's no problem and i even get very good listings.
The message is something like "blacklisted the whole network your webserver is on" and i only get it with brownie.

Very odd indeed! Maybe the box/Ip's your on used to belong to a spammer or somthing.

I dought they baned the "whole network", if that were the case I and 100's of other webmasters would be banned as well, correct?

Lemme go and try to submit, i'll past the message inhere...... brb

RedBumper 10-06-2003 10:31 AM

Ok, this is the exact message:

"Sorry...

Blacklisted the whole of the net where your gallery is hosted "

Only happens on brownie, all other scripts accept them.

Ray@TastyDollars 10-06-2003 10:34 AM

"the whole of the net"

wtf is that?

Contact both Oxeo and Easy, im sure its an error

Some sites probabally blacklisted whole ip blocks from Oxeo just because on 1 or 2 ip's that cheated. I heard this before from some others at Oxeo??

natas 10-06-2003 10:57 AM

Just heard that if someone gets blacklisted on your (oxeo) server (I'm virtual btw) the whole server gets blacklisted :(

As I said, I've had a partner account with easypic for well over a year and had no problems submitting.

I was on red.oxeo.com...but moved to earth.oxeo.com late last week.

Worked fine for the first few days, then today i get the error.

I've emailed Andre, hoping he will get back to me :)

Good traffic comes from there :thumbsup

The problem occurs when the security features of TGP Brownie are set too restrictive.

I also use TGP BROWNIE which is a fantastic TGP management program, the same program running on easypic.

When you use such a complete powerful program, there is the possibility to over protect.

I have been guilty of over protecting our tgp's.

What occurs is one bad cheating webmaster from a host can have an effect on future clean submissions from the same ip range, name servers, network, etc.

Example, I was blocked from easy pic a couple weeks ago.
my galleries are all neat, simple, with no hidden code ticks.

exaample gallery

http://www.groupiesintral.com/promo/06/

What I encountered was an submission error that told me my whole space on the internet was banned.

What that means is, easy pic has sometimes in the past blocked submissions from my portion of the rack shack network, where my galleries are hosted.

I have found the developer of tgp brownie to be very very helpful in helping us properly setting up the protections the program offers.

I had the same thing happen to me with easypic when I switched to a new server. I am on my own box, too.
