Can not connect to MySQL

From what i see there are just to many connections to the database...... wait a little untill some die out.

Wanna know, it is MPA2 it isn't the best optimized, I'm might be making a plugin for it :Graucho :Graucho Fix up their little problem!

Yea, it is a thing with the connections and also the way MPA2 works.

Once, I get this plugin testing, it should make it work a lot better :Graucho Because it won't be doing some many friggin queries that MySQL does! I know on some installs they didn't optimize the best, hope all is great for you guys!

It's the server and the script, but I'm coming up with a way to bring the load down on the MySQL - you could hit me up on ICQ any man! I posted couple post up!

:1orglaugh has nothing to do with that.. we had the same problem because we have the MP2 program as well... they need to increase the amount of connections available. :thumbsup

:1orglaugh :1orglaugh Yea, if you want the proformance of your box to get worse, there is one HUGE ass query that they have that brings the MySQL database to use 90% of resources!

I've been studing the MPA2 program and how it acts and getting the queries that they use! And this problem up about is a problem with connections - but there are a lot of things that factor in! That's why I feel the plugin I'm thinking of building will help a lot! Just gotta get cleared to start programming it!

I don't know why anybody would spam it! I should just create my own affiliate software that runs better! I've already reversed engineered the software to fix some bugs! :Graucho

it depends on what the limit is right now.
increasing the limit isnt always the best thing to do. you can crash the database.

We are aware of the limitations MySQL seems to have in certain environments and are working on that. Been for a while. New upgrades as well as new installations should not have this problem that is well known by us and MS alike.

And as any other program designers, MPA2 will develop into the future with a little help from the customers using it...

The above statement was incorrect. I didn't reverse engineer the MPA2 software, but did create new queries that are optimized for the program. MPA2 is a great automated affiliate program tho, and the first of it's kind.

Thank you jDog - appreciate your subtle comment. We stride to always be on top of our game, so a comment like this from a smart guy like you is always nice to get.

Now be aware of the fact that MPA2 as a program always will be a work in progress - Just like Windows, Linux, MS Office and Duke Nukem is.

Work work work, and improvements all the way. Next update of MPA2 is looking very good, and we are also coming out with something spectacular for the Internext show in January.

All I can say is that MPA2 has never looked better than this!
