Hey, anybody notice the quiet from Ireland?

I just noticed after all these years no more: " Blast In Northern Ireland " stories!!!

It feels kind of refreshing don't it?

No more late night phone calls and people frantically running around to find who is where or what.

We're still doing the same thing with Israel but it's nice to know you don't have to hear it from Ireland anymore. Not to say everything is honey and oats over there but it sounds like peace.

peace process....doesn't mean there isn't violence..it just means you aren't hearing about it over there. Yes, it is much better than it was but we still have kids who can't walk to school without being confronted by mobs (was all over the news on both sides of the Atlantic last year), punishment beatings and plots by the real IRA to bomb London.

So, just becaue you aren't hearing about it doesn't mean it isn't happening.

who cares about Ireland

Everybody that had to live through 9/11 every day of every week for the past 50 years -

Those people care - And are thankfull that the differing parties of Ireland are at least trying to get things sorted.

And the English at least had the courage to stand up and back the Americans over their problems - When I hear comments from idiots like you, I wonder why.

True - It pays to think before speaking -

Give it a try - (You may find it a bit taxing on the brain) But it's well worth it.

There are still daily problems in Ireland but because of the whole 9/11 thing the news would rather report on that although, that being said, even stories about 9/11 are slowing down.
