A reversed transaction can be charged back - WTF???
 

Hey guys

Has this ever happened to anyone out there? I am fairly new to this industry, but how can this happen?

Is there anything that webmasters or processors can do about this situation? Does it seem fair for Visa and MasterCard to be able to nail your merchant account with a chargeback after the transaction has already been reversed? this just doesn't seem fair!!

What are your thoughts about this???

I can see how it happened, the client thought it wan so credited when he read it on his statement so he charged it back. How it slipped through Visa is strange but they did pick up extra $$$ by missing it.


Good system, screw up and make more money.

It has actually happened to me before,

I accidently doubled billed a customer

found it the next day,, gave the refund

but it usually takes 3 days for the batches to clear
and show up in the customers statement

fucker just chargedback it both
