Apparently you've never met my grandmother.. I haven't seen anyone she won't tangle with, and I'm quite sure she would give Amp a run for his money :) In fact, I knew that jact was the right man for me, because he actually stuck around after she smacked him about 5 times for being a smartass... it ruled.

things start to go down hill when "human's" get up in age. I know what you mean but my parents/friends etc.. will be there eventually, one can only hope to not live that long or to not become stupid as you get there.
