Two Peacekeepers Killed in Afghanistan

For those US Canadian bashers that always say we do nothing ... or are pussies...

This time, it's not the US that killed our soldiers.

KABUL, Afghanistan (AP) - A land mine exploded under a vehicle carrying Canadian peacekeepers in the Afghan capital Thursday, killing two of them and wounding three.

It was not clear whether the attack was caused by an old land mine or one laid recently to target international peacekeepers.

The explosion happened about 1:30 p.m. as the peacekeepers were on a routine patrol, said Maj. Kevin Arata, of the International Security Assistance Force charged with maintaining security in Kabul.
