buying new digital camera need advice

Im considering 2 different models

Nikon Coolpix 5700
and the
Sony DSC-F717

Which camera is better and why?

I have Canon D1 - the best, but Canon D10 - the normal price!

Both are excellent cameras. I'm a major fan of anything Nikon and have been buying them for a long time.

If you look at what the Pro's use, you always see Nikon's or Canon's around their necks.

did you notice that although it says D10 at the top....every other mention of the model name says "10D"

it's the Canon 10D ....Lycos made a typo at the top.
