Sigs on or off?
 

The thread asking how much sigs made people had me wondering... How many now (or always have) surf the board with sigs switched off? Myself - only made the change recently because the daft noises were getting really annoying. Before then I did use to click sometimes if the sig was interesting enough.

How could I not realise? The picture of you I've pasted on the ceiling above the bed reminds me so every single night. It means that these days I always fall to sleep with a smile on my face :)

If you like to network blind.... then I could see why you'd have sigs off.

Personally, I like to see what/who a person is representing or working for.

For the most part me too although I wouldn't say having them off is quite networking blind. There's very few people who have any real association with a program and have it in their sig that I don't know about.

However - as I say the noises mean they can stay off for me until (if?) the current fad dies. Wondering though how many others have done the same.

The poll's also a great indication of how many people do actually see a sig you carry.

are you talking about sigs with sound that only is heard on a mouseover? Easy to avoid.

Not sure why a board would allow sound anyway, a TGP won't even allow a talking ad . . . . however, sigs on for me. I like to know who the idiots are promoting so I can avoid them.

On. I realize with all the sig auctions and all lately that people's sigs say less about them on average than they might. I pulled the sound card out of the machine I use to surf, so the noise makes no difference to me.

who'd wanna miss my sig anyway?

They haven't always been off, but they've been off for about 8 months now. So I just put always off. :P

Sigs were cool for a while. Good way to check out some new sponsors, see what's out there, etc.

Though the ones with sounds has ruined it now.

Sigs are on, wish they banned sound from sigs though.

I just turned them off today. I would happily turn them back on if the ones with sound would go away...
