pulled out my joe's garage album last night and gave it a spin.

such an amazing album, from a guy that made a lot of incredible music.

music is the best.

Zappa is a genius!!! So many musians have learned from him :)

the album that influenced what i write and play the most of all time is frank zappa's hot rats. the singer on willie the pimp is captain beefheart, which led me to trout mask replica, his weird free-from masterpiece which fz produced.

these days i find myself appreciating absolutely free more than hot rats - the music has a fuller, more modern sound, but i always have a copy of both :)

I took a picture of a shirt that had all those lines on it at Bonnaroo. Makes me smile everytime I see it.
