how much credit do u give sextracker?
 

this month did some slight rearranging and added another serverside counter and an invisible counter and sextracker claims under 10 percent of what my serverside and imageless counter counted...not to also mention clickthourghs that were only produced on that page were at least 1000 for the week...how much trust do u put in traffic leak counters?

I always used to add a fake counter style image and tell surfers _not_ to click there

For web based counters I used counted.com, easier to read than alot of on-server stats packages and only has the essentials I need presented in a clear manner.

Alot of packages provide too much info that is poorly organized so it becomes tedious looking at them.

i agree. I was just curious why all the sites who have seemed to have moved from ST to PG their numbers have increased dramatically including my own

yes. I like most others used the button for a 'global ranking' counter that was measured by other adult webmasters.Porngraph's counter is much much more anal about stats and accuracy,like a true counter is supposed to be

so not only would porngraph count your traffic without the traffic leak, but it will also boost your ego because it shows that you had more traffic than you thought you did....

downside is that would fuck up my conversion ratio

did not expect to find anyone here that uses Counted! ... amazed... you should try out PornGraph if you like Counted!. Its based on the same engine, has a little different layout but thats about it.

(Counted! is by STATSnet, and PornGraph was made together with them, its basically the engine of Counted! on steroids (sp?))

I think he means he sees more hits with the same amount of signups, thus lower ratios. :)

we have found that we seem to track between 5-10% more hits than SexTracker does. We are very close to the hits that will be reported to you by log-analysers.

One thing I need to mention for all fairness, the "Unique Hit" is defined slightly differently at PornGraph:

SexTracker defines a unique hit as a browser surfing to a page in a 24 hour period. He will only produce another unique hit after 24 hours from his last unique hit. They achive this via a cookie set to 24 hour expire time.

PornGraph defines a unique hit as a browser session. Meaning if a surfer goes to your page, surfs around it and comes back 4 hours later to surf some more, this is one unique hit and multiple hits, EXCEPT if the browser is closed inbetween the visits. We feel this is a more accurate way of showing you how many "Uniques" you had.

Hope this explains the difference a little. We do NOT bloat uniques though! Check the difference between hits and uniques on ST and PG, percentage wise there is no big difference.
