Rock Band Plans Live Suicide For Next Show
 

St. PETERSBURG, Fla. -- A St. Petersburg shock rock band is planning to feature a live suicide during an upcoming concert, and they're keeping the venue a secret so it won't be shut down.

Even though the city council passed an emergency ordinance to stop this weekend's show, the band called Hell on Earth says it will go forward with the performance and will also broadcast it live on its Web site.

It's big news down here...one of the top stories. The city council even passed emergency legislation regarding the story.

The band vows it will happen...the news says the show is Saturday...only time will tell if it's hype or not

The venue cancelled the show and the back up venue cancelled, so the suicide will be a private showing somewhere on the outskirts of St. Pete to get their point across.

your music has to really suck ass if you need to resort to suicides on stage to draw a crowd.

I've never heard of that place.

i've been following this over the past month or so...I love that they had to pass a law to make it illegal. One would have thought public suicide was already illegal.

Heard Billy from Hell on Earth today on Tampa local radio...

The show will proceed as planned, however, it will not be a live show in public. The plan is to boradcast the show complete with live suicide at http://www.hellonearth.net

Not sure how I feel about this, but since GG Allin never actually committed suicide on stage...

Anyway, I plan on tuning in just the same.

The live suicide is to bring attention to the rights of those who are terminally ill and want the right to die on their terms.

The guy who is to commit the act is terminally ill and will die very shortly anyway-
