If Russia & China nuked Israel into oblivion, what would the US govt do?
 

Let's say we wake up tomorrow morning to discover that Israel has been nuked by Russia & China. Everyone in Israel is dead.

Would the US launch WWIII to avenge Israel? Or would the US government seize the opportunity to finally have world peace?

I read that every person in the lower 48 US was exposed to some from of radiation when they used to test those things in Nevada/New Mexico. Causes a raise in things like cancer

My guess is that more people would like Russia (and even China) than those who like Israel.

I don't know. Maybe save a few billion dolloars a year they dish ou for them in aid. Probably use the money for he;lping the 34+ million living inpoverty. I don't know. Just a thought. But of course.. my comments not worth much when livin north of the border.

Of course it depends on circumstance and the administration but
I think that the US would probably do nothing. Look at how carefully the US fought in Viet Nam and Korea in order to not instigate a widening war with the USSR. Note that the US didn't do anything when Russian tanks rolled into Budapest and Prague. Maybe use of nukes would change that equation but I doubt it.

hey it's too bad weaponry exists if it was all hand to hand combat it'd be leet as hell because 250,000 soilders knocking out iraqis would have been a lot cooler than dropping a few bombs to strike fear into the hearts of dirty queeas
