Does Stormpay Allow Payments From Romania?

I just aquired a client from Romania, and he says Paypal doesn't allow Romanian accounts, so what's my next option?

Does Stormpay allow Romanians?

And what does paypal have against them?

Until 1999 there was no law in Romania against making online purchases using someone else's (stolen) credit card. Ergo, lots of carding fraud has been committed from that country over time, along with other East European countries. And some of this carding still goes on, as corruption is wide-spread and carders can usually afford to buy their way out of trouble.

Plus, don't forget PayPal is an eBay company, and eBay users have been fucked time and again by Romanian "sellers".

not sure but another paypal alternative with an ATM card that someone passed me the other day is solarpay.com

worth a look anyways...

No idea. But if it's for a decent amount of money just do a wire transfer. Virtually no hassle involved, except for the fact that it'll cost him a fee to send and you a fee to receive (usually).

Solarpay looks Ok, but damn, their fees are as repulsive as Stormpay's when compred to Paypal.

Deposit Funds
Fund by Credit Card = 5.5% +0.50 Per Transaction
Fund by Online E-Check = 5.5% +0.50 Per Transaction
That's just horrid. I mean, it seriously puts a damper on business use of Solarpay. Who'd want to pay an extra 5.5% for everything they buy from you? And Solarpay doesn't allow ACH withdrawls from your account; only check and wire transfer.

FYI, here's Stormpay's nasty fees:

Credit Card Deposit: 15% Plus $1.25
Ick!

Solarpay still has a while to go before it can become the alternative to paypal, but it is on it's way. I know the bloke who runs it, and he is a good guy, and he is doing his best to try and cut down the fee's (yet still remain profitable) for the future.

By the way, see sig ;)

I like <a href="https://www.epassporte.com/secure/epassporte.cgi?req=signup&reseller=judyh ">Epassporte free virtual</a> a lot... it takes 25 cents to send $500 and free for the recipient.
