htaccess tgp cheaters
 

Just thought i would let the tgp owners out there know about a trick im seeing alot of people doing right now.

They make a really nice clean gallery and submit it to a tgp, lets use thehun.net as an example.. Then the person makes an ip ban redirecting all traffic that comes from thehun.net to an ad.

When thehun script goes to check the page , it shows up just fine, even when the reviewer checks the page it will show up fine, or if you manually typed it in a browser, but when the hit comes from thehun.net its redirected to an ad.

everything is just easier if all links are prepaid.

this is an old trick

just make your gallery checker bot use proxies to spoof ip's, and problem solved

Add useragent, referer .. and alot of other things to that.

Its only bumping hits that come from your site, so im not sure how spoofing ip's thru a proxy is going to help . Once the link is in place its easy for a bot to check it and take out the bad ones, but it would be better to get them before you add them :) . This requires rewriting the script , and for lots of people that isnt an option . Yes this isnt NEW im just saying i have noticed a HUGE increase in this lately, thought i would let the other tgp's know :)

If there is an easier solution, i am all ears :) , but please explain your method in detail so the, not so tech friendly people can understand also :)
