Getting out of the Biz for good
 

No, not the adult biz or radio biz... ;-)

Long before I ever got on the net even I was doing work with security and specialized in video and audio surveillance type stuff for different agencies... I even used to even install all the security systems for radio shack back when I was just a pup.. then went on to be a PI and blah blah blah.

Anyway.... I've accumulated racks and boxes and bags of all kinds of cameras and secuirty and surveillance stuff... everything from multiple camera/audio setups like you see in stores to micro sized stuff.. wireless transmitters, commercial grade, ultra highend, ultra low end, you name it. I have some wireless stuff that'll go up to five miles with the right antenna setups... tiny little cheap throwaway cams to ultra high end stuff that can be concealed most anywhere. Infrared, outdoor, portable infrared, auto color/bw switching and on and on and on.

If you need anything in particular.. I just very well may.. or may not have it.. but if I do you can get it for cheap. If you just need some advice.. well that's for free. Fuck a bunch of ebay, I'd rather see it go to friends. Some of the stuff is brand new and still in the wrapper.. some is used.. and of course everything in between.

I don't want to make this into a big thread, it's just time to clear the decks and all the racks of that stuff.

Not really... been doing it for over 20 years.. that's long enough for me.. probably would be long enough for a lot of folks.

The PI part i fucking hated. For every person you help, you're hurting somebody.. so it turned into more of a hobby.. I think it's time for a new one like R/C helicopters... ;-))

hope you sell up a storm, maybee you can bring some of the night survailence equipment to Negril, set it up on the beach :Graucho

Funny you should mention this stuff Dokk, when I was in NYC last week I got my stuff outta storage and there was a bunch of shit from when I was working for Frank Monte, PI.
Mini cams and such that we used to do our "Stealth Papparazzi" with.

Those things are a snap, but I'll give you a tip.. they need to have some custom work done on them if you want something that will last a looong time.. over time they have a tendency to let vapor in them and where the input cables go in, they need a little silicone treatment.. as well as the o-rings that seal the lens face covers... i did a lot of whitewater kayak testing with em.. and have seen some supposedly waterproof cameras eat the shit when you put em in a class 4 rapid underwater for real and get sucked down in a hydraulic.. ;-)))

I have video of that stuff.. it's pretty cool. ;-)
