Anyone run a link list?
 

I heard that free sites give pretty decent quality traffic so I started making free sites... here are my first ones... The only person I tried submitting to so far is greenguy, but I didn't get listed...

I think I get the right idea of them... enter page, main page, and two galleries... would you list these?

you need to give the site a more obvious title but more importantly you need a table of recips (4-12 linklists)



apart from that youve preety much got it - just check out some other free sites on greenys to see what others are doing

Links Lists are dying out.
There are only a few left with decent traffic, and that is sad because free sites are much better that galleries (more money to webmasters to make and it's not so obviously free as with galleries)

A lot of link list have moved to TGPs :(

Any link list with good relevance is better than a tgp. I make more money of link lists than I do on tgp at 1/5000th of the traffic. Freesite sumissions aren't all about how much traffic is involved. To most webmasters it's about how google and other search engines treat your listings. How often can you say that ONE submission can make 240 dollars? I've talked to people who have made over 1k on a single freesite. Amazing. All from google traffic after the site was spidered. I love link lists, just wish there was more of them. The problem with most link lists now is they treat them and run them like a TGP. I got a good list of 54 that I use regularly. Out of 2500 link lists out there only 54 worth submitting to. Sad. There is so much more money involoved with link lists :/

But I would also like to see you make money from it. So here is a bit of advice.


Index page needs work. Try to make your sale here. You should always make this page the most enticing. Give the surfer a sexy graphic or unclickable mid sized pic showing the girl that is inside the freesite. Start your story here like you already have there. Make a prominant tittle. Use h1 tags. Put enter link further on down. Put softcore banner or really juicy text link to your sponsor right under your opening story and graphic/unclickable mid sized pic and at bottom of page a link back to your hub or tgp or whatever it is you own that you want more traffic to using a relavant keyword combo.

On the next page, your story and sales pitch should continue, not duplicate. I totaly flew right past your ads, throw in some impact fonts, contrasting color to highlight any keywords and/or a nice fat hardcore banner. Your page's graphic header looks like a header, I didn't know I had to click it to get to sponsor until I viewed source code.

First gallery page. Too many pics. 10-12 is enough. add banners, graphics, animated fucking gifs, anything. I thought the ads were just plain text. I preffer to use FAT contrasting text or if I must animate I just animate text with different strokes and outter glow progressions.

Link back to your home.html at bottom of first gallery using relevant text such as "Back to home page for more round ass" or whatever works for you. Hyperlink the keyword only "round ass"

Second gallery. Again, too many pics. Also, this is your last ditch effort here to nab the surfer. He made it this far, chances are he will be a harder sell. Leave the surfer hanging, Your story should be just mid climatic here. Leave the surfer excited with cock still in hand. "Oh my god this site he is talking about must be nuts, I gotta click now" is what you want him thinking,.. Make him WANT to see more. Something like "Click here to watch her gag while Carlo slams his meat pole deep into the depths of her vaginal hell ripping her straight to her spleen!" .... that actualy works :)


Freesites allow so much room for advertising, take advantage of it. Just keep your sponsor href's to 2 per page for most link lists and take advantage of those that allow more.

To anyone that doubts the power of linklists, just do a search for "porn" in google and look at the top 4 sites. All linklists.

A ridiculous amount of traffic comes from a top 3 "porn" listing in google. Trust me. Almost any decent search term will bring up link lists in the top 10. Why? Because we list all sorts of sites (free, AVS, pay) and those sites are hand picked for quality. Those same quality sites get their own SE listings and in turn bring us back quality, relevant traffic. The SEs see this relevance and rank us favorably in the listings.

Take some time and build free sites. I promise you they will make WAY more money in the long run than any TGP listing could ever bring in. Keep in mind that many linklists will keep your site listed forever. Or at least a very long time. That will bring you sales for months and months into the future. Not a few days like a typical TGP listing.

I make as much money off of 1 free site as I do off of 10 tgp galleries. Plus the free sites burn much much less bandwidth. If you're just starting out on a budget try free sites. A Persian Kitty free site listing wii make you more than a Hun listing IMHO

you are absolutely right. I have had a freesite listed there for 6 months now, a sale every week.

Oh man, yes! A Hun listing will convert nicely for a few days, but after that you get dumped into the archives and the dollars will be few and far between. With a listing on PK's free site pages, you are assured tons of quality/qualified hits for a long period of time. And let's not even get into the bandwidth issues surrounding a listing at the Hun or any other large TGP. Don't forget to factor that in when coming up with your bottom line, folks!

Plus it also makes your site much more SE friendly with all the relevant links from link sites pointing to it. With a free site you're getting traffic from search engines and link lists. A TGP gallery will bring you traffic for a short time, but a free site is forever .

Even on the heaviest freesites I think the most I ever burned for a listing was 1 gig. Over a month's time

All this talk about link lists has made me decide to dust off my old one and start it up again. It mostly lists just my own sites now and they get mostly SE traffic. Keeo your eyes open for the grand re-opening of The Porn Doctor . I'm going to go through it this weekend and weed out all the dead wood, should be up by Monday :thumbsup

More obvious title would help but here's what I think.

Your pics on html pages is ok but you're only allowed one link to the sponsor on there and some of the picture must be showing when the page opens.

Not a rule but to make more money you should have some banners/ads on the index/warning to the sponsor. Since link lists all get spidered regularly those are the pages that will be in google. So a lot of sales are made off the index page!

If you ask greenguy at his board in the getting listed area he will tell you exactly what you need to change to get listed.

Just make sure to specify which lists you are submitting to. The listing will be on the front page for 2 days or so, and then moved to category pages.

Most linklists encourage the submission of movie free sites. They are very popular with surfers.

The "movie" category at hoes.com is the highest trafficked category and has been for almost a year.

Same rules apply as with a regular pic free site, but you don't have to have 20 movies or anything insane like that!

I've accepted plenty of free sites that had two galleries with 3 movie clips on each page. That's plenty enough for me!

coz lately ive been keeping only with moviegalleries.. i use 1.5 and 1 meg movies. so i cant put like 6 as alot of ppl in their rules wanted.. but i can turn out 2-3 galleries per freesite

I have built a movie freesite I am dying to submit but haven't had time to research what length the clips should be. How short is too short and how long is too long for you?

I don't really have rules as far as clip length and number of clips. I usually just look at the quality of the site and whether I think my surfers will enjoy the submission.

2-3 clips of that length are perfectly acceptable to me!

I like to see clips around 30 seconds in length if at all possible. Those 15 second clips are useless and the surfers get annoyed by them quickly.

So, basically, I'd rather see a free site with 3-4 good length clips rather than 10-20 tiny ones!

Movies are very popular.

You can also just put up a warning page where the enter link goes to the gallery if you prefer that. Does not have to be a site with a warning, main page and 2 galleries. Though I would always add a main page in an attempt to make the site bigger for google and to have more ads to make sales from the surfers. So in that case, warning page, main page, 1 gallery.

Actually Greenguy does allow pics on html pages but only 1 link or banner with it, not 2. Rule number 16 in his site rules. ;)

I have to agree here - If you ever see a webmaster say something to the effect of "I dont use shitty TGP traffic", 9 times out of 10 they are in the linklist game.

I have quite a few trade sites running and I've just setup a network of linklists for my traffic, I can say with confidence that just one of these little sites will make more than all of my trade traffic combined.

Why everyone rushes into TGP instead of LL is beyond me. :2 cents:

What is the always accepted number of recips on entrance pages? Also, I have my old recip/submit list with alot of dead links etc, I guess I only have 10 or so live ones. Where should I get the new places to submit? (places that do send some traffic)

9 recips per entrance is a good number to use. Just keep in mind that it's good to keep each mirror seperate. Never point the same pages over multiple mirrors. Others may argue this but it has been proven to work for me.

Best I can suggest for finding LL's is to hit the big guys like link-o-rama, linkforsex , tommy's and even hoes.com then work your way through their link exchanges. Build up a good list of 50 or so recips doing this and weed it down to ones that list you over a months time. Another good way to see what link lists are doing good for you is to check backward links in google to the pages and search your keywords used for each freesite to see if submitting to them was worth it. Tedious job... but well worth it. I weeded from 94 to 54 that way.

Here's a tip for how to organize your recips:

The larger linklists will actually scan over the recips that are listed with their recip when deciding whether to accept a free site. It's best to group the large linklists together on the same page and then add a few others to complete your recip table.

I get over 200 submissions a day and many of them are deleted because my recip may be listed with 4-5 linklists that I've never heard of. The chances of receiving any traffic back from a submission of this sort is very limited. It's just another strategy that we use to help weed out the huge submission bank.

Another tip I can offer is related to the structure of your URL. As I said, the large linklists get an enormous amount of submissions daily. One way that I can quickly delete sites that are probably not going to fit within my rules is to delete those that look like they will be TGP galleries or those that are obviously from some mass creation tool.

So, if I see a url that looks like this, I delete it without even checking it out:

That looks like either a TGP gallery or a mass created page.

Another I would be suspect of, but possibly have a look at would be this:

The reason being is that it's an obvious mirror. If you are going to mirror your free sites, make it a bit cleaner like this:

http://www.yoursite.com/sites/ebony/index.htm
http://www.yoursite.com/sites/ebony/enter.html

Use a unique index page name for each mirrored version for best results.

Free sites are an incredible way to generate long term cash flow and I hope more and more of you will consider migrating from TGP over to this world. There is a bit more work involved, but a hell of a lot more gain to be had.
