it keeps saying Trying to Connect.. connected to many times

2001b was the best version

I'm still using 2001B

2001b - never trust an Alpha version, and Trillian is truly fucked up if you try to get authorization from an ICQ user, they will never see your request.

I still have the trying to connect problem :(
