Why can't I play GOD DAMNNED thing in windows media player 9?

oh, it's the um... microsoft part is... broken

Neither...I'm on xp...and NOTHING works...I've yet to find a link that I can play...although I have 9 at work on 2k and it works fine...I thought for a while it was a digital certificate type of bullshit...but now I dunno...

I'd say try re-installing the bitch...

Windows Media Player cannot play this file. Connect to the Internet or insert the removable media on which the file is located, and then try to play the file again.

Do I do that through windows components?

Hmm.. I dunno... will the Microsoft site let you just install it like you don't have it? And install over top?

You have to restore your system to the day before you installed WMP 9. It sucks and when I tried to do it... it did not reset and I'm stuck with WMP 9... but it works for some people and is the only way you can uninstall it.

I heard when they first brought out windoes media 9 it had some problems like this for some people but now the latest install should work for everyone.

The thing I hate is stupid quicktime player, honestly when I load a page that has a quicktime movie playing in the ie6 browser it locks up my system for 6-10 minutes, I honestly have to wait hitting Ctrl alt del 100 times and constantly trying to end all programs just to get my system back. this is winxp which is impossible (usually) to crash but Mac's quicktime software sure does a great job of fucking my system up.

I have the same damn Problem and im on 98...I reinstalled...but it fucked up again after 5 songs...
