Sex.com is not loading here (Las Vegas/Cox.net). I am actually having problems with a couple of other sites, too. Probably a major switch went down or is under DOS.

How bout , THANKS chemicaleyes for letting us know quickly our whole site was down, Thanks to our other webmasters for their patience while we had errors and lost all your hits, It was not working hours so its a good thing we have dedicated affiliates that work full hours willing to point out errors for free.

before I posted here, I contacted someone that could do something about it. I am sure they appreciate all of their customers

So did i , that doesnt discount from the fact that the original person who wrote this thread noticed it first, And wasnt originally mentioned .. They responded in This thread, to thank you, if they had thanked you via icq that would have been fine , but they responded here and we didnt know that you had contacted them privately, So all we were lead to believe is that they thanked someone who makes more money , purely because they make more money. :) That says to me that all customers arent appreciated equally. But they did explain the situation afterwards.

Theres 2 reason for posting sponsor down alerts.

1 ) To let the sponsor know quickly ( and yes they respond faster to GFY than to their emails. )

2 ) to let other webmasters know to change links.

well, I think the quick response in this case had nothing to do with the GFY post per se, it is just that I saw it and had instant access to them, which is always going to be faster than e-mail when there are thousands of emails coming in.

I honestly doubt that their response had anything to do with my income level. I am willing to bet sexspaceman never saw the email you sent (if that is what you did), because email has to be directed to the proper person, yada yada.

Your right in this case after explanation i dont think thats what took place either , im saying thats what it appears as to everyone else. I cant presume that either of you/us actually let them know there was a problem as im sure that they knew before us :), BUT it sure helps fix it when you have 100 webmasters breathing down your neck :)

Im sure every sponsor gets emails that say * site is down * every day , and most are usually isp or user error , thats why GFY is good so we can A) check and make sure its not just a error only affecting a small amount of users or B) let the sponsor know in NUMBERS that there is a problem..

I wasnt knocking your help or even the sponsors thank you. I'm just pointing out where a little more communication can go along way in customer relations and appearance:)
