Ok the math of these new programs does not make sense..
Members join and pay 9.52$ Webmaster gets 25$....
Member has to stay 3 months before company see's a profit. The premise is thats its to reduce chargebacks which would indicate no pre-checked cross sells, or funkey billing. Someone want to break it down for me so I can understand this cause it looks like the only viable point of these from a business standpoint is they are a loss leader to promote the other higher paying sites (upsells) or to put more numbers through the billing system to reduce chargebacks... |
AHHHHHHHHHHHHHhhh
Its obvious that ANY paysite makes money from more than just signups. |
sure...
they expect surfers to stay far longer than 3 months... and, did you notice the cross-sells? add that to the up-sells and it's a no-brainer, really ;) |
this one time, i was threw a stick, and i ran. and then the stick hit me. true story.

Broda my man...:)
Ok sure but the cross sales point was that there not checked cross sales or that would defeat the purpose of keeping the price under 10$ so they where less likely to charge back... Yea, upsells...Email address is viable. But it means they are loss leaders and thats the point I was trying to get around my head. :) :thumbsup |

The same can be said for most programs. Getting paid $35 for a $3.95 trial? WTF? Sure, membership is $39.95 monthly, but every trial doesn't go to full. Most trials don't go to full.
However, cash from the full membership does end up coming in. Email addresses of new members and old members get used up. Consoles. Cross-sells. Upsells. It all adds up. |
