OMG - I am being sued!!

There's a new traffic site out there called 'adult traffic monster' that has been spammed on every single board out there. It's run by a person that goes by 'atmdude' who has just come out of nowhere. Well, something didn't smell right so I did a little homework.

I'm sure you all remember GeoHuck. He was spamming all the boards recently, including this one. I remember quite a few people were having problems with him. Well, I clicked on one of the PayPal links on adult traffic monster and the payee was a Geoffrey A. Huckabee. Hmmm.

So, I followed up his spam posts, on most of the boards he hit, with a little warning about what I had discovered. All of a sudden, 'atmdude' changes the PayPal account payee info and starts saying that he meerly bought this site, and two other ones, off of GeoHuck.

I busted him good and he wasn't happy about it at all. Check out this email that just got sent to me and my host:

This is to inform you that an individual who is associated with your Internet website, (www.adulttrafficgenerator.com), known only at this time as "Turboface", has made numerous false, slanderous, and libelous public statements directed toward Mr. Jonathan Smithermann of Santa Monica, California and his Internet websites:

www.adulttrafficmonster.com
www.cheap-website-traffic.com
www.cheap-adult-traffic.com

The aforementioned statements made by this individual are very numerous: they are now a matter of public record, and are very well-documented. Proof of said false, slanderous, and libelous public statements, including the recorded I.P. address of the author, which have been posted on numerous Internet forums, are now being gathered from the individual webmasters/owners of said forums for purposes of proof in the event that the associated individual immediately ceases and desists from further false, slanderous, and libelous statements directed against Mr. Smithermann and his aforementioned Internet websites. As well, a clear pattern of intent to defame Mr. Smithermann and his Internet websites for purposes of furthering sales for the Internet website: www.adulttrafficgenerator.com has already been well established. Further, the webhosting firm which stores the HTML, images, and other files of www.adulttraficgenerator.com will not be held blameless and shall also be brought into a court of law as a willing accomplice to the perpetrator of the false, slanderous, and libelous statements associated with the Internet website: www.adulttrafficgenerator.com.

Please consider this a notification of our intent to sue all involved parties in a court of law for any or all three of the following:

Libel

Slander

Defamation Of Character

Unless the associated individual immediately and unconditionally ceases and desists from posting false, slanderous, and/or libelous statements directed toward Mr. Smithermann or either of his three aforementioned Internet websites, legal action will be swiftly taken against all involved parties by filing a suit for monetary damages in a court of law. This is the first and final warning before this action is taken.

Libel and slander are not accepted conduct in any public forum, even an Internet forum. We hope that all involved parties will accept these terms and take any preventative measures necessary to avoid legal action. However, if the defamation of character, and/or false statements, slander, or libel directed at Mr. Smithermann persists, have no doubt that legal action against all involved parties is imminent.

The real funny thing is that there is no 'Jonathan Smithermann' in Santa Monica, California - or anywhere else in the United States.

LOL get used to the internet. People send bullshit lawsuit threats all the time because lots of ISPs and Hosts are scared shitless of them and will pull the plug. I bet 99% of all lawsuit threats on the internet are bullshit. That one doesn't even look like it was written by a lawyer, more like some idiot that watched Judge Judy a few times...

Dude, you're not being 'sued'.

That's just a letter of 'intent' and not a good one at that. You don't send that stuff via email.

If you feel you're in the right, get an attorney and have them give you professional advice. There may be something in it on another venue for you.

Remember, in ALL legal matters get an attorney. Or just retain one just in case.

That letter looks like it's come from a template of legal documents i think i have it here somewhere myself.
