When I was a kid, I literally bit my tongue off (was hanging by a small piece of flesh on the left side) because I was running on a pool deck and slipped. Not sure of exactly how it was reattached (i don't remember this... my parents and other family members told me). The fucked up thing is my mother was the head lifeguard at the pool (on a military base)!
