.p01 .p02 files, & how to extract/use them?
 

Ok so i downloaded a "documentary" from a newserver, came with abunch of rar's & some .p01 .p02 .p03 files, no clue what they do, but im guessing there are a fix for the corrupt rar's.

So now what do i do with these, & what program do i need?

I heard from a friend that has it on good authority that winrar works ... course I have never downloaded any software or movies or anything of the sort from newsgroups myself so I have to rely on this second hand knowledge.

The rar's had errors, someone told me the p01 files are there to fix them.

you need to put the rar and the p01 p02 etc in the same folder then unzip them

the rar carries the catalog for the zip files and the p** are the parts of the zip file in order that it was broken up.

did you try renaming the files to the right rar extensions? usually if rars are corrupt theyre corrupt... ive never been able to fix a fucked up rar file

They are all in the same folder already, someone told me theres a program to use the "par" files.

there is a progam called SmartPAR, if you have bad RAR's, the PAR files will use SmartPAR to re-construct the RAR's so you have the complete set and can then unRAR your bootleg movie.

You can even have entire missing RAR files if you have enough PAR files to re-construct them.

It's a par file but not sure what program extracts them, trying winrar maybe it'll work.

NO NO NO, they're saying some weird ass stuff...

Paypal me the money...

Go on google and look for smartpar, or smartpar.exe or whatever, you'll find it fast.

install and run that and it will restore any missing .rars for each 1 par file you have.
