I didnt get a chance to see it.. did arnold speak?
|
id vote for arnold because he has the best chance to win, but mclintock is pretty impressive.
Busamante is the only other viable candidate, but hes part of the problem of why their is a recall in the first place. |
Californians that watched the debate tonight provide your thinking
Well...what is your thinking about the debate tonight? Who impressed you the most...who presented the best plans for dealing with the issues that were presented?

I goto Vote for Davis.
If Arnold was not Republican I would prolly vote for em, but at this point the Republican Party clearly has not got The American People in mind these days. I have little doubt that Arnold would actually do a good job, but California would face alot of problems with the Republican Party running the show and Arnold having to take bribes to create laws that would hurt the foundations of California. |

McLintock, well, at least you know where he stands, but he does not stand a chance. They should have these every night with 5 different candidates until all 130+ were shown on TV, that would insure the the recall was defeated. |

Her comment that people are not leaving California is BULLSHIT.
I called Uhaul a few weeks ago to try and rent a trailer to pull a car. I was told there are very few in the area since everyone is leaving California and no one is moving back with the uhauls etc.. |

Why do people move? because property is so expensive. Why is property so expensive? Because more people want to buy homes than there are homes to buy. Now, if you want to move out of the state I will find a truck for you. And for the record, a friend of mine just moved from San Jose to LA, with a U-Haul truck. I am glad you are getting a pulse on the status of the state from the guy at U-Haul. |

According to the state of California?s Demographic Division of the Department of Finance, the state?s population was estimated to be 29,828,000 July 1, 1990. It rose to an estimated 34,036,000 in 2000. Thus the population increased by 4,208,000 between July 1, 1990 and July 1, 2000.1To gain a better perspective on the meaning of this number, consider the fact that all the northeastern states from Maine to Virginia, combined, gained less than 4 million people over the same period.

But when there are more people than homes, then it becomes a sellers market and prices go up. And it does not matter what kind of remodeling you do to it. If no one is here to buy it, it will decrease in value. See how that works? More people are moving in than are moving out. It does not matter where they are moving from. |

Spurred by immigration, however, California's population still rose 14 percent, or 4.1 million people, between 1990 and 2000 to nearly 33.9 million. Its foreign-born population rose by more than one-third to almost 8.9 million. More people are moving in, than are moving out. |
About 2.2 million people left California in the late 1990s, when the state was reeling from a series of tumultuous events, including earthquakes, race riots, economic downturns, a wave of foreign immigration and skyrocketing housing prices.
So, blame the dot com issue on Wilson/Bush - blame the earthquakes on Davis . . . . oh, that was Wilson too, wasn't it? |
Anybody notice how many times per second they blinked? :helpme
