Different strokes for different folks.

Don't knock the mac! Even though it costs more and can't play many games it still is great for design & print work.

Nice, but that is not the reason.. the reason is that all the good software is written for Windows.

Price is not an issue when you are comparing apples with oranges.

A lot of the same companies that write software for Windows also write it for macs. It just you can only buy mac software at Compusa and the Apple Store. Windows has hundreds of thousands of cheap progarams that range from $4 to $30 that are poorly written and are full of bugs that you can buy anywhere, even at flea markets in ziplock bags.
