I just saw the previews for the movie! I remember seeing the orginal when i was a kid and it scared the shit out of me....i wonder if the re-make will be any good?

highly doubtful, they already did a sequel - the next generation, or something like that, and it sucked

partly what made it scarey was the low budget grittiness about it......im sure a remake will suck shit.

The "Next Generation" did suck, but this new one is done in the same vein as the original, so I have faith that it will be good.

what i dont understand is how tobe hooper could make such a fucking classic like TCM, follow it up with a decent big budget movie (poltergeist...which actually looked like a 50/50 mix of hooper and spielberg...which of course it was)...and then produce nothing but PURE SHIT for the rest of his career.

Yeah the OG one rocked!!! I remember I saw that at a drive-in in Chatsworth...wow how time flies...You can't even go to one around L.A. without a Gun or big sword in the back of your truck! :tongue:

This one has Jessica Biel in it tho..hmmm =/ she's a hottie but...some how I don't like when horror flicks put the HOT HOLLYWOOD movie stars...better when there are unknowns playing the parts. :thumbsup

If it's anything like the last remake, it'll suck shit compared to the original. Hopefully they didn't butcher this one as well (no pun intended).

It'll be a fucking joke, if something was made good before leave it alone. I don't see what Jessica Biel running around in a half shirt with her nipples popping out has to do with it. It's a cheap remake with second rate Wanna Be Hollywood people in it. Instead of spending 15 bucks on seeing it, save the money rent the OG one and get a 12 pack... That's money well spent
