ANYTHING can be addictive like chewing gum or sunflower seeds or hats , or even forum posting.

As far as we know there is no evidence to suggest marijuana is physically addictive , and i have personally known many people to quit due to drug testing at work and not have any major withrdawl symptoms other than being pissed off.

This being said , they havent done any REAL tests , so we dont really know , but as far as everyday tests , its obviously not as bad as some other things we have already like booze coffee etc etc.

The only reason why in any way marijuana would lead to harder drugs is the fact thats its illegal so the same people dealing it usually move on up the line eventually and so do their customers.

Of course it is addictive... There is a chemical called THC that weed gives the body... smoke enough your body becomes dependant on it... granted it is not as addictive as cigarettes, cocaine, heroine and other drugs... but it is addictive none the less
