Manual saves gas saves a tranny and could very possibly save your life.

Plus you cant Push start an auto.

automatic on my Durango, however, I'd love for it to be manual.

Automatic on my liberty and thats just fine since its my wife's truck.

I prefer standard over automatic...

At automatic it's like when you are sleeping.. really boring.

Manual all the way but it more that a cheap car like mine is fun to drive.

But the US aren't setting worldwide standards (unless you're thinking of a sucession of stupid presidents). Bloody narrowminded american thinking!

And I for sure hate to drive an automatic on the open road (I confess auto has it's advantages in a traffic jam - but I'd rather stay away from them).

I purchased an automatic for the first time in over a decade last year - hated it.

There is nothing like the thrill of running through the gears of a sports car.

Needless to say I traded mine and bought a new Mustang. Five Speed.
